Kalipaki

It surprised us that after a full week of lifeguard training at Kalipaki, Zachary (and Kate's) first choice for a beach spot on Saturday was Kalipaki.  It made for a great work morning at the house and then a full afternoon playing in sand and calm waters.
Kate has been expressing middle-child angst about not getting enough attention--specifically, that her friends often come to the house and play with her brothers and not just her.  Brady and I both had a full hour in the water with her, playing mermaids, doing flips and handstands, and paddle boarding for some quality bonding time.

The sand is way more exciting to Zac than flat ocean, and Owen followed him around from sand ball to sand ball.

Owen is Mr. Destructive lately, so I was surprised that Zac was so willing to let him join in this massive hot tub he built.  They worked together for at least 45 minutes.

Notice Owen's tongue: he and Kate have so many twinning mannerisms!

After days full of friends and waves and activities, it's nice to have quiet, slow days with just the family.
Brady captured a few other beautiful shots that weekend when he went to Scout Camp, where it rained all day but showed off a brilliant sunset.
