Evidence of Progression

We still aren't cutting well or landing gracefully, but we are catching bigger waves (remember that is all a matter of comparison...haha).  I like to think Brady's waves look bigger because my camera work was better.  That is unlikely, because I took the pictures while holding Zach in the car, through the windshield.

Really, we are just happy to no longer depend on a sandy bottom to surf.  This is right next to our house, and full of reef, but we are still alive and not even beat up!

New Clothes

I have to say that I am a huge fan of this 3-6 month clothes change. As much as I think little babies look cute dressed as little babies, I am huge fan of the "little man" look--striped shirts, faded jean shorts, t-shirts, etc. Thanks to Angela's Baby Gap clothing selection, and a ton of cute shower gifts, Zach is well on his way.

This week was pretty uneventful. We went surfing 2 times, but there is little to report other than we were toasted by the waves both times. We were both able to get up twice on some bigger waves yesterday, but it was a little ridiculous how much effort it took to get up those times. Both of us are aching in the shoulders and neck today! We want to get better, though, so we're going to keep going until we look like we aren't tourists. (Yesterday, after I biffed it pretty hard on a wave, a fellow surfer dude said, "You're doing fine, especially since you're just visiting, right???" Ouch.) Since we didn't stay up long, we have no picture selections. You are going to just have to tell us how cute our son is!!!
He discovered his hands last week...
Here he is watching Conference with us this morning. Check out his pursed lips and chunky cheeks:
Our social worker knows we both like to run, so she gave him this sweet jogging suit. It's not as big on him in person as it looks in this picture:

He's got his eye on you! These long lashes are pretty new developments:
