This was where all the homeless people sleep. That was probably the most shocking part of the city for us yesterday. We always knew that there were plenty of homeless there, but it's a whole new world when you have to step over them. (That's not actually why we took this picture. Karen loved the fountain...)

Living by downtown Cincy brings homelessness to my attention just about every day. Especially when bums are literally swimming in and out of the apartment dumpster. One bum said to us as we were going to our car in the lot, "One person's trash is another one's treasure." Then, he offered a wave and smile as we drove off. - Jill -
