Goodbye Kalaheo Missionary Preschool

May 24th was Zachary's last day at preschool.  He will be attending school in another city, so this was his last day at school with all 13 other preschool friends.  He loved this school, and I wondered if he might have a hard time leaving, but it turns out I was the basket case, listening to the kids sing their goodbye song and thinking how much my little boy matured in a year.  My favorite part of the video below was the exchange between Kate and Zac.  She and I both missed him every day at school.

Ms. Barcelona is the teacher in charge.  She is firm but kind.  She's taught for over 20 years and it is obvious in her interactions with the children.
Ms. Kanishigi plays the nurturing role.  The two teachers together were a perfect pair.
Zachary loves his teachers and he never wanted to miss school.  Nearly every morning of the year, he was dressed with his hair combed and teeth brushed, making sure we were "not late for rug time!"  We walked him in each day, and he was sure to give Kate and I both a kiss and a hug before running off to learning and activity stations.

Little before and after:

We had a difficult time deciding if we should do preschool.  This experience was so good, and we are glad we trusted our instincts and went for it.  On to Kindergarten!
