April! It's such a buzz-kill to write about a month several months later, but this year has been the most challenging of my life. So, I'm here to say that I'm proud to still even contribute commentary of any kind at this point.
Car naps are the cutest, and the only times I can listen to podcasts and audiobooks in the car.
A trip to Heber for dinner at the Ritchie's:
Walker and Kate climb trees.
So much support at Zachary's soccer games.
Boot buddies with Cindy!
Track meets are delightful, especially because I could cheer for Kate, Walker and their friends.
Spring took my breath away. I always felt like spring was the lame season with all the rain and allergies, but this spring felt like fresh blooms in front of snowy mountain scapes that wowed me on every drive home from work and every afternoon bike ride.
This was Zac's prettiest soccer game--American Fork High School. The weather was perfect and the mountains showed off.Owen was inspired by Walker and Kate and asked to run laps at halftime.
My favorite April moment! Owen was over-the-moon to have all this family support at his soccer game. He played with fire. At one point, he drove the ball past three defenders and Tanner yelled out, "THAT'S MY COUSIN!" It was so endearing.
After the game, they threw him around and cheered. Those Ritchie boys know how to make my kids feel like gold.
Next up, we went to Logan's game. I wanted to pinch myself, realizing how lucky it was to have so much family support and then be part of the family support. It was a lovely morning.
Cousin games. It's so joyful to see them play together.
Kate's favorite sleeping position.A great game for Zachary with the most beautiful backdrop.
Grandma and Grandpa came to support so many of his games!
Where's Waldo?
The most beautiful spring blossoms everywhere!
Zachary's support crew at a home game.
Early Saturday game meant mid-morning donuts on the way home.
Mom was in town to help Emily with her oxygenation treatments. For Anna's birthday, we all went out to Mongolian BBQ. Grandma loved it!
While I went to dinner with Anna, Grandma, and my mom, the rest of our family joined the Edwards crew for sushi at Tsunami to celebrate our 30 day service streak. Zachary invited Cohen, who entertained the group with his gag reflex while experimenting with the food for his first time ever.
It was a pretty epic evening for Owen. When we found out they needed a 70 gallon tank the next day, he was a little less enthusiastic. They survived as long as they could in a regular sized tank and he settled on a Beta fish in a 3 gallon instead.
Kate continued to PR in every race, and Mom was there to cheer her on multiple times!
Owen's rash that simply would not heal. Four doctor appointments in, and we finally found a remedy that seemed to work.
Recital time for Owen and Kate! Grandma Nufer and Mom Nufer came to support.
General Conference with family is more fun than alone.
Checking out Mom Edwards' new couches and getting all the love from Ang.
This is more like how most of April felt. So many great moments mixed in with heavy ones.
Visa photo: take 1 out of 60.
Our house starting to look like a house!
Some Zachary action shots from the season:
Love the tongue!
Owen played this basketball game with Brady every single day.
Saying goodbye to Mom after three lovely weeks.
Meeting up with a huge group of Kaua'i-to-Utah friends for a BBQ at Dawn and Jeff's house.
