REUNITED in San Fran

Karen flew in on Friday night to quite a surprise--a 4 star hotel stay overlooking Union Square in the heart of the city. We were able to stay on the 28th floor, and even had a small balcony. It was a fantastic view with the city lights!
Poor Brady. He's always struggled getting strangers to talk to him. Hmm... Allergies have been pretty severe since coming a month ago. So has loneliness...
The entrance to Chinatown. It's like another country (no pun intended, Cory). Kristen and Cory say that the key to getting people to read their blogs is to mention them...so they now have no excuse.
This hill is representative of the long walk we did to the wharf. Not wanting to spend $2 each on the cable car (and with a huge piece of cake from the Cheesecake Factory), we decided to rough it. We probably walked about 6 miles total...Brady's still complaining. We took the wrong path, though, and ended up hiking massive hills.
This is Neptune's Palace--where we ate dinner for Karen's birthday. This was ranked as one of the top ten seafood places in San Fran. Yummy. Karen had to crack open all of her crab legs, while Brady sat and laughed, enjoying his seafood pasta. There was especially great music in the background--sea lions grunting.
Sea Lions on Pier 39: they entertained us for a good hour! Apparently the little suns of guns are pretty greedy. They kept playing "King of the Hill" and even got kind of violent in the game. The big guy always wins... (Brady wanted to play.)
This is Alcatraz behind us. It's our only picture together--a nice guy took pity. That's good, since most of the pictures are of one or the other of us, and that gets old. We just need some kids!
Happy Birthday Karen - sorry about the half eaten birthday cake. We did it a day late and everyone got hungry.
